I languished away at the University of Nebraska Lincoln for a while, finally convincing them to give me a degree in biology in 1996. I've been working in pharmaceutical and biotech since 1991 (not the sales side - they actually make money). I'm currently working as a Product Development Scientist for Sandoz, a generic pharmaceutical company, in Broomfield, CO. My wife, Lara, works at the same facility in Regulatory Affairs, representing our company before the FDA.

I was married in 1992, had two kids, lived in Lincoln, moved to Colorado in 2000, divorced in 2001, remarried in 2002 and had a new baby in 2007. I've ended up with a great family, wife: Lara, kids: Jake (10), Hanna (9), Zoë (1) and Tahoe, the dog. We live in a 100+ year old house in Denver, about a mile from downtown. We spend a great deal of time with friends skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing in the winter and camping, hiking, biking and rock climbing in the summer. As a year round hobby, I have recently begun to put all those years of chemistry to work by taking up homebrewing.
